IN CHARACTER
Name: Scott Summers aka Cyclops
Canon: X-Men Movie Verse OR X-Men Apocalypse
Canon Point: just post-X-Men Apocalypse
Age: 17-18? He's a teenager in high school who's clearly rather mature.

History: It's all pretty much here

Personality: Scott's got the disaffected teen thing down, complete with not actually being disaffected and really just feeling like he can't connect with people or get along with them which comes off as apathy. Despite some of the earlier movie continuity where it can kind of seem like he has a stick up his butt, Scott's actually a bit of a rebel complete with a love of motorcycles and the full capability and will to steal a car to bring his friends to the mall.

His sense of humor can be a little rough to handle until you realize that he's just as biting about himself and it's one of the few ways he shows that he's comfortable with someone and enjoying himself (see most of the deleted Mall scene when he's hanging out with the other Xavier's kids). Despite being s snarky little shit, he has a surprising lack of ego, accepting criticism as long as it's constructive. Occasionally this can backfire on him too since he can be unaware of how rough his own commentary can come off. While 'charming' is a long way off, he's got a certain kind of charisma that has to do with people generally looking to him for a plan and well, he's actually pretty good for it most of the time, with a quick mind and an adaptable, pragmatic manner that gets things done even if they're not necessarily the neatest if he doesn't have the time to work on it. (See getting them on the chopper and mostly planning out the break out for the captured teachers from Stryker's base)

He genuinely cares, about the people that he's let in and the people who depend on him, and only those who are smart figure out that the whole apathetic shell is to cover Just How Much He Cares because otherwise he just wouldn't be able to handle it considering how much he puts on himself. (Like when Jean tried to comfort him in the chopper, and he accepted it but only in the most silent sort of way). Given his life experience in the foster system (a piece of information I'm guessing given the timeline of the movies, the teaser of Sinister in the stinger, and comic events), it's easy enough to figure out that he's learned to show the world one thing to protect himself even as he feels and is another. In some ways, he's a pessimist who wants to be an optimist but can't quite let himself because he worries about the danger of it.

He's an extremely ACTIVE person, immediately doing something when he sees that something needs to get done and looooathing boredom and inactivity like nothing else. This is true both in play (such as when he decided Kurt needed exposure to America) and in work (the aforementioned 'let's get on the chopper' after the explosion of Xavier Mansion the first of many).

Setting: Scott's first and foremost priority will be to find a purpose and to find a place in this new world that he's brought to. He'll be glad to know that there are other mutants there since he's just (as per his timeline) sort of found his home among that group but some part of him is going to be fascinated almost against himself at the Ingress travel and I can definitely see him nipping off, when he has the time, to go check out new and interesting places when he can excuse himself to do it. Mostly, though, he'll want to find a practical job or role that he can fill.

Abilities/Skills: Scott, as per the X-men canon that most versions work from, has the ability to take in solar energy and focus is in an uncontrolled/uncontrollable beam from his eyes. This beam is not heat-based but pure force, so while he can produce fires with his ability on occasion, that's due to friction and not due to heat despite the color and intensity. There's some canon that says he has some advanced mathematical understanding (able to handle angles, uncanny aim, etc.) but that's mixed? Mostly it's the eye beams, which he controls via a pair of glasses and his visor. One is used for every day and the other is used for battle.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
STRENGTH
-very unconcerned with how people perceive him
-quick to put away the personal when something needs to get done
-pragmatic to a fault
-cares about his fellow mutants more than himself
-good tactical mind and able to strategize on the fly
-also unconcerned with rules when he sees little point to them and there's more to be gained by breaking them
-willing to reevaluate given new evidence
-pretty good leader
-deeply concerned about the danger he can be and takes steps to prevent it
-charming in an assy kinda way but he's such a dork he sells it

WEAKNESS
-his pragmatism and lack of concern for other's perceptions of him can come off like dickishness
-bored easily and doesn't like to be inactive
-unable to express his emotions for long or effectively, very closed off
-untrusting of 99% of people and default think people are trying to dick him around
-can appear apathetic when he's anything but
-what sounds like confidence is usually more like more pragmatism; he's definitely in the plan for the worst camp
-grumpy
-his fashion sense in any incarnation

Items: Several pairs of glasses and his visor, some clothes, a couple of cassette mix tapes.
